Artist Statement
This painting isn’t just a picture to me. It’s about what it feels like to stand in the middle of the world and try to figure out who you are. The shadows on his face show the weight we all carry but don’t always talk about. The light behind him is hope,it’s messy, but it’s always there. And the butterfly means change, because nothing ever stays the same. This painting is my way of showing that even in the struggle, there’s still strength.
