Artist Statement
Within a small town, our own unique culture is represented through our history. Generations of families have called Port Perry home and have lived and worked in the community. Port Perry places a high value on local history and being able to share the stories of where we came from. My piece shares the story of industry and how it shaped our downtown core in the early 1940's. Everyday people were contributing to the betterment of our town. Archer Motors employed many local residents who still live here today.
