Artist Statement
Whether it be banners or flags, suspended umbrellas or textiles, murals or sculptures, towns and villages around the world are drawn to embellish their streets and alleyways in order to brighten up the lives of local residents and to be a welcoming environment for visitors and passers-by. Shops and restaurants give a purpose for their clientele to come, but it is the surrounding art which creates the ambience, the unified sense of belonging, and the desire tell others about their “find”.
