Artist Statement
This represents Liberation from the stigma of " just being as I am " : Indigenous , 2SLGBTQ , a practising member of the RC Mission Church on My Indian Reservation. I've had to nurture, embrace, cultivate & acknowledge my cultural heritage as part of the Canadian Cultural Mosaic. Hopefully I can only look forward to everyone recognizing my dignity in this democratic society called Canada.
