“Daughterhood Motherhood” is a found object installation that reflects generational memory and its tentative imprints. A slide reel projector casts family photographs, relatives from Ireland, and the artist’s mother as a baby onto the surface of an umbrella. These images, forgotten by the mother yet fundamental to the daughter’s existence, become faint reflections, visible from both sides. The umbrella, a symbol of shelter and fragility, refracts memory into something at once unknowable and essential, inviting viewers to walk around and witness how identity is shaped through what is both remembered and lost.
