Madiba Award Honouree for 2026
The Madiba Award is named in honor of Nelson Mandela, affectionately known by South Africans as Madiba (Father of the Nation). It is presented to a leader of African ancestry in Durham Region that has made significant contributions to social justice, equality, and human rights, and whose journey embodies Nelson Mandela’s values, visions, and commitment to overcome barriers in his long fight for freedom and equality. The award is a striking, original bust sculpture of Madiba.
Please join us at our inaugural gala to celebrate our 13th year recognizing the extraordinary contributions to ‘Our Village‘ by an exemplary leader from ‘Our Community’ and present CE4C’s Madiba Award to the 2026 Honouree who is nominated and selected by ‘Our Community’.
