18th Annual Black History Month Celebration
This free celebration will take place on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at J. Clarke Richardson Collegiate in Ajax. The in-person event will be hosted by THE VOICE of Black Toronto, Kevin Carrington and feature a keynote presentation by motivational speaker and entrepreneur, Tychon Carter. Community networking starts at 4:00 pm, followed by a formal program at 6:30 pm in the auditorium featuring spoken word artist, Tracy J, and performing artist, SILLLA.
Presented by Cultural Expressions for CHANGE in partnership with The Town of Ajax, City of Pickering, Pickering Anti-Black Racism Task Force, Durham Region, Durham Regional Police Services Board, Durham District School Board, Durham Catholic District School Board, and Ajax Public Library.
